Uuuuuugh~ I just had to talk about this, about the upcoming Studio Series 86 Astrotrain. Cuz, man, there's so much negative towards it.
But thankfully I'm not the only one about this, but I'm actually warming up to the Robot Mode. Actually I never had a problem with the Robot Mode. Yeah, it does look a wee bit weedy, but if you look at the cartoon, Astrotrain ain't a hulking figure. Yeah, if you saw the initial pics of him, he was mis-trainsformed. Tho, that ain't the first time this kinda thing's happened. I have the 'dramatic capture' version of Siege Astrotrain, and while a great figure, it's pretty squatty and the wrong color gray. And let's face it, for anyone who has this or the original Siege toy, the train and shuttle modes ain't good.
But noooooooo, everybody's loosing their minds over this. Sheesh. If you don't like it, then don't get it. Literally easy as that. But let's face it, there's a good chance DNA Design is gonna spruce this up. Not to mention Toyhax. And let's face it, guys. This has ALWAYS been a problem with Triple Changers. Something is ALWAYS gonna have some kind of compromise. And come on, this ain't the worst Transformer toy ever existed.
So no, I don't have a problem with this upcoming toy. I'll still get him. The train and shuttle modes are pretty dang good for this. And if DNA Design makes an upgrade kit for it, I'll get it.
So that's my two cents on the matter. And oh! Shout out the the voice of Optimus Primal, Gary Chalk, beating cancer! Way to go, Boss Monkey, and that's just Prime! ^^

I don't care much for toys, but tell me how Beachcomber's pacifism keeps getting him accused of cowardice or how Starscream's lust for power and faltering sanity makes him more and more of a monster and I'm there.
