where i've been / where i'm going

████ TRANSMISSION BEGIN ████ hey, watchers and friends!
i'm alive, as you can tell from the recent uploads. i've been.... egh. time's become a bit blurry lately. i've gone through several depressive seasons over the last year or two. i won't get into all of it here, but among other things, i've just been burned-out. i've grown... weary, when it comes to the art i make, and my reasons for making it. so, in an effort to do something about that and find the spark again, this is just a little heads-up that i intend to pivot my content just a little bit going forward!
here's a shortlist of what to expect on this page going forward:
- more worldbuilding, character-driven art, designs, etc | i want to explore eX's native setting, hash out some lore, write some shit, develop other races and characters for them to interact with in a shared canon, y'know, cool stuff like that! i've been doing a little bit of that already and have found it super rewarding and stimulating, so expect more of that.
- more aliens/monster/etc. and human subjects | truthfully i've never prioritized the label of 'furry' for myself; i actually like humans, aliens and monsters and robots and such, and anthros in about equal measure! so i intend to branch out a bit from the anthro-focused stuff that currently comprises a large majority of my content.
- eX will feature a bit less often in nsfw/kink comms | i feel like i've drawn a lot of this genre of image, and collectively it forms an impression of them that i thiiiiiink doesn't jive with how i currently view them in my head? they're an intensely reclusive and private person who delegates a lot to their lieutenants and automated systems while watching through a screen or from the shadows. so i plan to make stuff that's more aligned with that vision
none of these are like, hard
other misc announcements:
- itaku + weasyl galleries shutting down | i never use those websites, i have no interest in using those websites, so i'm going to stop dumping my art there. (commissioners always have permission to repost any art they get from me wherever they want)
- commission price/TOS updates | more on this later, writing this journal was taxing enough xxmxx most likely what'll happen is, i'll bump my prices for 'proper' commissions and be more selective with them based on what i'm wanting to/able to take on, while stream commissions will remain as affordable as i can handle and largely unbiased (FCFS or raffle-based).
- other stuff | i have a few pet projects going on right now too, including a website and more music
