How come people are so picky over here when it comes to art?

So ive accelerated in art over the years but I gotta say why is it so fucking picky? Im trying to do my best. I know my best isnt good enough but why?
I see others get rejected and isolated because they are boring but haven't practiced anatomy or something. Because they dont make little kid characters humiliated enough. Dont make shitty comics enough.
Deviantart is less picky. I post anything on DA these days and people will eat it up.
Is it cause its small?
I know people have high standards or want appeal but why is everyone so hard to please on this platform?

As the fandom grows, so does the pool of talented artists, yourself included. There's a lot of competition for other people's time, whether it be here, YT, Twitch, Bluesky, or any of the other Social Media sites.
I know it seems that getting +fav's or comments is like getting affirmation for your work. But you ARE being seen every time you post your work here. Don't let it get you down. Keep going and drawing what you like and what your commissioner's ask for. Keep growing in your style and experience.
