Searching for a new messenger app

Well, situation got worse, and Telegram is now barely working, it loads really slow, and I think it will be blocked in my country sooner or later.
I'm looking for a new messenger to contact everybody, and one friend told me about 'Imo'. Did you use it before? Is it working well and is it comfortable and, well, enough popular? 😅
And also, if you know another messenger that can be used as well as Telegram, please, let me know. 🙏
P.S. WhatsApp doesn't work in my country too, and I don't really know another messangers. My knowledge is this area is quite poor.

Well, this won't help against 'white lists' of course.
But the main problem is those "white lists" also prevents any known VPNs (and their work methods) to work. Like mine ones are now acting as if there are "No Network Connection", even is the status bar of my smartphone clearly says I'm in 4G/LTE coverage zone.
They say no mobile internet for Russians, even for those who in Moscow 😕😢. Home (Ethernet) is still kinda works, but how long? (I don't have this one ATM because this place I love is rental)
