Vent about lost media

So, being an utau and furloid fan, I naturally look back often to very, very old accounts and links, oftentimes when people have already moved on with their lives from that silly little music thing they played with a decade ago.
Unfortunately, that was one of the cases here. But the sad thing was that this was an account I had previously enjoyed and frequented, and one that I had many opportunities to back up and archive.
But now, so many covers, artpieces, usts, everything just... Lost.
And that bums me out. :(
It feels really bad knowing that I had the opportunity to save it, but just didn't because I didn't know how.
I fortunately found a few actually working links to some of that user's old stuff. And so, I will do my part and archive them.

But at one point, that user had close friends in this community. Friends I have actually interacted with. That user had fun memories drawing silly animals and making the robots sing. Sure, it may not have been super big or anything, but those memories deserve to be preserved. And it makes me so sad to see it all gone in a snap. All because that user wanted to move on from those days. To clear their footprint for an adult job, when all that footprint was doing was making people who still looked back happy.
