I don't believe you need an account there to read my journals there, but you will need one in order to comment on them.

hmm.. if I fully clear my cache and everything, I can see a ROO CAM LIVE from right-ish now-ish, and a celebration of twenty years on LiveJournal from 2024, then after a split second it whites out and goes from "5 most recent journals!" to "3 most recent journals!" with the latest being He's Baaaaack! from 2022

It shows up if I click Archive=>2026, though. Guess it wouldn't kill me to make a LiveJournal account..!

Thanks for the info! I just noticed that, too, when I use a different browser. I may need to take that into consideration.

Make sure your ad-blocker or script-blocker is turned off. When I turned off ad-blocking on LiveJournal, my newest posts appeared.

Funny, that did do it after a hard refresh.. I suspect it has something to do with clicking the links to the direct pages for the given journals, I get a 404 (even with add-ons disabled and a hard refresh).

There's an invisible element over the first maybe two inches under the header, too, that makes everything there unclickable when I turn off my ad-blocker--to say nothing of the ads. Of all the days for FurAffinity to relapse on their insane censorship hobby... I was just rolling my eyes at someone for calling the Rednef site-wide banner (and I quote) 'kinky' (?) but I swear one of the pictures they deleted was less racy than the banner in question

I looked at the pics, and I don't know why FA censored them, because they seem utterly inoffensive. There's no violence or X-rated nudity, and the sphynx isn't underage. Maybe somebody thinks she's too human for a furry site?

Honestly I would just appeal them. They would tell you why it was removed and take a second look at them.

I appealed all three and, unfortunately, they rejected my appeals.

Why not BlueSky?... All the people who have mentioned LJ within the last 4 months were just talking about retrieving old entries, then bailing out and leave to the Orcz.

After Blue, the second most discussed site was Discord, then Telegram, Mastodon, FA... and at the very bottom, Instagram, Threads, and Facebook...

I considered BlueSky as an alternative. The only reason I didn't choose it (or Twitter) is because of the character limits on each post. However, I plan to post links on BlueSky to my LiveJournal posts when I publish them.

LiveJournal is far from perfect, but I think it will do, at least in the short term.
