corporations don't care bout others...they only care bout money
tis sad really...all the HEART seems to be disappearing from America thanks to corporate greed

as someone stuck working for walmart I can say without doubt that it doesn't surprise me. all management cares about is keeping their bonuses and working people till they quit. Management doesn't care about anyone or anything cept their bonus checks. 2009 was HARD on me. everyone at this store didn't get bonus checks because of poor sales combined with a remodel that came out of the stores budget... but management got their bonuses. I barely made it this far... and cried myself to sleep many a night trying to figure out how to make it through...

The thing is they -have- to destroy it. Every company I've worked for never donates because they are given orders to destroy excess or "out of date/style" goods by the distributor. Take it up with them.

I find it hard to believe companies of that size would have to do that.its the other way around walmart with its size often bosses around its distributers of product it sells. telling them what they want and what price they want it. destroying usuable good not only is immoral I think its also a big waste of natural resources and energy not to mention a waste if its sent to a landfill as opposed to being recycled.

I'm just going by my experiences at different retailers (Bath and Body Works, Toys R Us, the retail section of Cracker Barrel, Blockbuster). Most distributors lay the law as to what to do with their merchandise.

One more reason to reaffirm my vow to NEVER set foot in a Wal-Mart again.

it's pretty lame, yes. especially since they could donate it to another country.. but it's also a business practice. X product. say a Furry portfolio, doesn't sell. The artist also is moving and doesn't have room for it anymore and has to toss it out. y Furry says hey why toss it, I'll take it. The artist says, yeah but you didn't buy it.. thats what the whole idea.

Same goes for every business everywhere.. they need money to stay in business. this is capitalism.

Granted it would be awesome if they just donated some of the basics need stuff to people, but
this is the world we live in.

sometimes business practices arent good. thats why we have the government regulators. to prevent merchants from labeling dog food "beef stew" or stopping a waste plant from dumping raw sewage into the ocean,etc. such open waste isnt a good thing.God,Karma, or something will hopefully get them in the end

It's very true, but for right now. it's Economics, which is a big debate. since it's different when it's about generalized safety.
