Anyone know a good 3D modeling and animation program?

Well first, I wanna say to all the recent watchers, thanks for the watch. :D
Second, I'm still looking for a female voice for a tiny little animation I wanna make. If you have a mic and you're interested, let me know please.
Thirdly, I'm trying to find a good, simple (and possibly free) 3D modeling and/or animating program. I'm currently looking into Blender. Its pretty cool from what I've seen, but kind of complicated. Anyone have any other suggestions?

and then exporting to .obj then importing to blender where you can rig it from there. wings3d is very simpel to use and learn
It requires a registration for an account on the site, but that's free as well. It's like 3DS Max, just free, and with a little less.
I haven't seen the Wings3D program, but I suppose I should check it out. Sounds like a good program! :D
