Maybe he's faking the goofiness just a little. You know, like, whenever Donald badmouths Goofy, he sorta hides his anger and replaces it with being funny. And yeah, if he wanted to, he could kill a man with that big ass shield, but we know he's better than that.

As for the whole transition from Goof Troop to A Goofy Movie and An Extremely Goofy Movie with the whole marital status bit...you decide.
