Kinda seems like people are doing it for the satisfaction of having the people watch them again. Gotta feel popular and special.

That's...not it at all. =/ In Kira's case, I know that part of it is because he feels the name no longer suits him. It was something he chose for himself a couple of years ago, and doesn't accurately reflect the him of today. In my case, too, should I choose to move accounts, it would also be because I don't feel my name doesn't accurately represent me. I haven't been a folf since last spring.

And actually, artists lose many watchers in the process. Some people never see the journal someone posts saying they're switching, or some just can't be bothered. So I highly, highly doubt Kira is doing this for popularity reasons.

I wasn't saying anything about him specifically.. Was making a general statement. With some, you're right. It's because of names. I myself have though about moving because Yukiru isn't the name I use, but the one I chose when the account was created.

Others do move accounts for the reason I said though. Either that or 'furry drama'.

But yeah, names can often be a problem. I wish FA would just let you get a renaming token like LiveJournal, but...they don't so blah.
