Sorry, guys...

Hey look, there's a new piece up!
Yeah, I got tricked into doing an OpenCanvas. It's one of my few artistic joys that I have left: online communal drawing. I don't mind showing people how I do things, or working together with someone else on a pic, or whatever...
I can't really say I like the finished piece, though. I know, you're gonna say "OMG but it's awesome don't be so hard on yourself you just can't see how amazing you are yadda yadda..." Yer damn right. I can't see it. I know it's a nice pic, but I don't like it. I don't feel any kind of satisfaction or release or closure... Just dissatisfied and surly. Art shouldn't do that.
So that's why I'm not "back". I'm jaded, I'm miserable, and I really appreciate the support but I'm just not seeing the value in it anymore.
I'll happily OpenCanvas, when I have time, when my back's not giving me pain, when I'm not working on other things, when I'm actually online (which is rare nowadays)...
But I'm sorry. I'm still not "back".

Hope to see you around. c=
On one hand, your situation is clearly different because you can draw, but on the other, I totally understand the sentiment. If it doesn't make you happy, then it doesn't make you happy. It'd be selfish to say anything at all other than best of luck with whatever you actually want to do.
I don't think I know many artists who are really happy with their finished work, they all tend to enjoy the journey much more than the destination. Maybe you'll find your joy there too.
If you enjoy random screwing around in opencanvas, that's good too, though. It's kinda Zen, I think. Not aspiring towards any particular goal, just drawing for the sake of drawing.
But I know you don't enjoy furry art anymore. I wouldn't ask you to do something you don't enjoy, (unless I was paying your wages... I wish!) I'm just glad that you do the occasional one-off and show it. K'sharra, hon, is your life happier these days? I couldn't wish you more than that and believe me, I do.
...although, you really ought to do a Year Of The Tiger picture, just because. (No, I wouldn't hold you to it.)

FC went pretty well, I talked to a lot of folks about TMG and gave out about a dozen cards. Steampunk had a lot of representation at FC too to my surprise, so we really need to get something rolling there as well... I think TMG could really take off pretty quick if we got some of the right folks on there. =)
