While I was working, I was told by a coworker that there was a customer at the sales counter that couldn't speak English.
I told them that I would handle it.
I walked into the sales office and found a dark skinned Mexican man. He smiled to greet me and I nodded back. "Hola, Senor. Que necesita ustedes?"
His response: "Uhh... Hi. I am here to pick up an order." in the most clear English that I have ever heard a mexican speak.
My coworker thought that it was hilarious.

if you end up in that situation again you should keep at the language then say you don't speak english
