another dream : mother or father?

When I woke about ten minutes ago I had tears running down my cheeks.
I probably I had various dreams last night, but can only remember bits from near the end.
The parts I remember was
* my family attending some sort of event (a princess walking through town?)
* from this point the dream is about another family, who I think started a faily of humans but turned into a family of huskies during the reunion.
* Some people climbing up something (side of a building?), one of them (a mother?) having a health-problem (heart attack?) and falling
* father has a device (calculator?) which starts teleporting him if he puts in a number that is three-digits or more
* there was a son who spends time with his father, but I'm not sure when he shows up
* someone (guardian angel? afterlife-management assistant?) show up, gives some pointers on the teleportation device and then reveals the now-dead wife is working in a snowy area of land near the arctic (as an archeologist ?)
* father, mother and their son have a good reunion (at a train station?) but then angel/assistant reveals the son will have to choose between going with his father or going with his mother (probably some BS rule of the afterlife)
* I think the family has a tearful moment
