General
well came across this lil site and I tried it, and it fucking worked!

so if you find one on ebay being sold with a bios password and selling for cheap, get it and use this. From what I understand this works on the Stylistics and Lifebooks

OP
48 hours you mean 48 seconds. You gotta be on top of them sometimes.

There really are some people out there that do not get on a computer on a daily basis.

Also, I loved this episode. Actually, I think I've loved every episode of The Muppet Show I ever saw.

It's the very first episode, baby. Juliet Prowse did an astounding job. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrjnTtNGJQw

My LifeBook U810 cost me about $400. Didn't have to go cracking the BIOS passwords or anything, though.

OP
was it new in box or refurb or used?

They said it was "used", but it had only been used for a short period of time (the owner owned it for about a year). It's only missing the VGA/eth0 dongle, but it works very well otherwise.

yeah the one I rebuilt up came from a big company and needed to be rebuilt back up. Needed battery, Power adapter, Hdd cable, Wacom Stylus. Heck also needed to heat some the case to get a warp out of it. I learned alot of tricks doing my steampunk laptop, I used them to get this tablet into peek running. I got lucky and found a new unused battery straight from Fujitsu on Amazon for $20

That's pretty cool. Mine doesn't have the Wacom digitizer in it, but it is touchscreen. What model did you end up with?

You probably have a more standardized model than I do. Mine's so small you can fit it in a jacket pocket. The one issue I will end up having is when I go to upgrade the hard drive, since it is smaller than the one in normal laptops (think second-third generation iPod hard drive).

OP
yeah 12.1 inch, what you using zif drives?
wreckerkat
!wreckerkat
I think that's what they are. They're less tall than most hard drives, height wise.

OP
sounds like a zif drive they use them in some zunes too

I had a Fujitsu.got locked out of it for about a year trying to disable the bios. gave up on it and moved on. a year later my friend uses a program like the one you just showed us.

OP
did you have any luck taking the cmos battery out to clear it?
Jardenon
~jardenon
No its password was in flash memory. You cant clear it simply by removing the battery.
