Things /are/ busy just now, so best way to get in touch with the community is prolly to catch friends first, upload your pics sporadically (rather than all at once), then once you've got a few loaded /really/ make an effort to pounce other people (especially with comments).
That's what appears to work best, anyhow, from what I've seen.

Hoping you settle in well; and please do bring across any other friends from Y! who are feeling "dispossessed" and unsure which way to jump. Often enough in the past I've seen communities disperse to the four winds; kinda sad, that...

Ah, yet another person who used to be from the Y! Galleries. I was on there a bit (Same name here as there). Wonderful art you have.
