Sail Ho!
People who know me know I've been looking for a small sail boat of my very own to practice and, well, to have a boat. I have decided that I will not survive another summer of not being on the water, but was concerned that if I bought one soon, I might not be able to take more. lessons in the fall. A little before I came home from work tonight I was surfing the web on my hand computer and saw an old boat for sail- uh sale. http://www.sailboatlistings.com/cgi.....14665&mh=1 I was really excited, but then I started thinking. It's probably too big. >.< I'm confident I can sail her single handed, I'm just worried how hard she would be to launch. My friends are landlubbers so they won't sail with me. Also, I forgot my car doesn't have a trailer hitch. My old one did. All boats have to be scrutinized before buying, but I'd love to have a boat this old. It's kind of my style. My antique jeep (the one with the trailer hitch) was always fun to drive. The only problem was everyone knew where I was. But I guess if I found this I'll find a smaller car topable boat. Of course then if some one did want to go sailing, I'd love to take them but my boat would be too small for too many people. :P I'll think about it. I don't want to make any huge decisions untill I come back from my class in less than two weeks.

The aftermost fore and aft sail on a square rigged vessel is called the spanker. It's usually just above the poop deck. If the seamen aren't too busy inspecting the seacocks have a handful of the them heave the breast lines, and while you're at it, post a sentry at the scuttlebutt.
