1) Being gay? Not natural. But then again, neither are eyeglasses, polyester, or air conditioning. Or silicon :P
2) You think gay marriage will encourage people to be gay? Does being near a smoker who's far enough away from all buildings encourage you to act and smell like THAT?
3) Legalizing gay marriage may open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
4) Straight marriage has been around a long time, but it's changed; women used to be property, interracial marriages used to be taboo, and divorce used to be illegal :P
5) "Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed" Pssh, yeah right. Anyone remember Britany Spears' 55-hour "just-for-fun" marriage?
6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people can't. But does the world really need more children? Aren't our orphanages full enough for you?
7) Gay parents don't always raise gay children, just like how straight parents don't always raise straight children.
8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion, but doesn't America have freedom of religion? Isn't it supposed to protect us from religious persecution? Or is the Constitution just a joke?
9) Children can overcome and succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society allow single parents to raise children. Even if they're never home :P
10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society, but we'll simply ADAPT to new social norms. Just like we've adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, and longer life spans.
