So in the interest of:
a) having a new journal
b)proving I'm still alive; and
c) boasting about the fact that Oregon is a badass state:

That's our governor signing into law Civil Unions and an anti-descrimanation bill. It may not be marriage, but it's exactly the same in all but name.

I don't think the total number of states which recognize them in the US exceeds 10 though, and I would be surprised if it takes us less than several decades for them to be recognized throughout the whole country. I am confident that we will reach that point though, even if we're a long ways behind much of the western hemisphere =P
