Ever color your pics using a Trackball mouse?

I sure did for 3 years. Me and a friend were talking about what we used before getting tablets.
Before I had gotten my first tablet (and was able to use it), I used to scan sketches and inked images then color them on the PC with PS 5.0... With a Logitec trackball mouse.
Eventually I got a standard mouse but that was until like 2003.
Looking back on all that I honestly wonder how I managed to do all that. And had the patience :T

Me, I still use a mouse (now an optical one, used to be a ball).
an Aiptek HyperPen was my first tablet also. I was made fun of for it but it worked really well.
I tried using the pen tool to ink once or twice, though it made everything a bit "too clean" if that makes any sense. I have somewhat shaky hands also so it's hard for me to ink freehanded too. Which is why you never see inked stuff from me.
