The bug should clear automatically, but if not, the fix listed online was that you need to turn off internet connection, set the clock manually to something, then re-enable the internet connection and then set the clock to get time via the internet. Should fix your PS3.

Yeah, the glitch itself cleared, but as of the evening of March 2nd, the system won't play or even recognize a blue ray movie/game any more. I reset the clock as you said, didn't work. I went into safe mode and tried all the choices there short of reformatting the drive and still no success. Last response from Sony (via e-mail) was they were researching my issue and will get back to me once they have been through this process. I'm expecting a "give us money and we'll fix it for ya" response any day now.

Oh well, this is the first issue I've ever had with failing electronics so, all things considered, I've done pretty well.

No prob. I got lucky and didn't have the glitch, but since it trashed so many people, I think Sony are being a bit more generous with assistance, unllike Micro$oft with their Xboxes.
