Dimmu Borgir!!
Last night rocked . . . hard.
At least the last half.
I was planning with some friends to go see Dimmu Borgir last night and what a hit!
The tour was dubbed: Invaluable Darkness which involved 4 bands; 1 being Dimmu.
The first band, UnEarthed, sucked. What a lousy start to the whole experience. The lead singer was just a Scream-Jock. Of couse, my friends were in the Mosh Pit while I was sitting, the food I had prior to going in didn't agree with me. Also, I'm not one that moshes, so nothing off my back.
The second band, Devil Driver, was meh. They sounded almost like UnEarthed except they got most of the floor into a huge mosh pit before their final song.
The third band, Cataclysm. Mmm, Cataclysm. By this time I was about to go out and just give up if Cataclysm sucked. They rocked. Their style was @#!ing amazing and their songs were good enough to get me into the mood-of-things again as I was moments before the concert started.
Then it was Dimmu. Yes, the band I was waiting for. Their base player is amazing when he sings and the songs were the ones I wanted to hear . . . Well, I wanted more, but you can only get so much. The down side: They were rushing things. The first 3 bands took their time that Dimmu only had so much time left before Vancouver's main trasportation shut down, which wouldn't have resulted well. Soo, there were complaints by many that they were not at their peek and I agree. However, they were still great.
They are back in October and I can't wait.
At least the last half.
