Recently I was playing pokemon Platnium with a team of eeveelutions Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Umbreon, Espeon, and Leafeon. and I lost a major battle and this minor poem sprang to mind.

We have been with you for many years.
You trained us Hard.
You trained us Long.
Ever since we were born.

You have never hurt us.
You have always cared for us.
When we reached our limits you urged us onward.
To fight and struggle to do just a little bit more then the last time.

We have traveled with you.
Across country.
Through forests.
And underground.
****
We have fought many opponents.
We have won often.
Rarely have we been defeated.
Your training made us strong.
****
We have always depended on you.
You have always depended on us.
You have worked hard to care for us.
We would do anything to make you proud.
****
Yet when we were at the height of our Glory.
We failed you, and were cast down, defeated.
We are not the strongest pokemon there is, there are stronger.
But even in our defeat, your love has never faltered.

Neither shall our love falter for you.
