I preordered Soul Silver a couple weeks ago. There were two chicks working. I specifically asked about the preorder figures because I really wanted a Lugia. She told me that they came in with the games, and that it's first come first serve. The only way to be guaranteed one is to be there when they open on the 14th and be one of the first in line to pick up your game. Easy enough to do!
..last night Hakoge says I went there for my Lugia when EB got them in earlier this week and they'd already run out! They only had the Ho-ohs left when I got there. I think they'll have more in by Sunday, though I'm not too sure. FINGERS CROSSED. D:
Just went in to EB. Guy working there told me they did indeed come in a few days ago, and the only way to get one was to preorder AT THAT TIME, there will be none there tomorrow.
AWESOME. So anyone who tried to get on the ball and order weeks or months in advance is fucked out of a preorder figure. HOW COOL IS THAT.
i ragecancelled my preorder and put the money to getting FFXIII. And with that, I go to play some FF >:C

You got screwed over.
I went there today to pick up my copy, not expecting to get the figuring at all, and when I got to the counter the woman was like "Hang on a second, let me check something."
She dove under the counter, rummaging through some stuff, and pulled up-- SURPRISE-- a Lugia figure, saying "You're one lucky lady, you pre-ordered it early enough to get one!"
Apparently the EB staff have no clue wtf they're at-- They told me they were already sold out earlier the week, and then they were first come first serve on the day of the release, and now today, apparently, they were going in the order of earliest pre-orders-- people who preordered months ago got priority over people who ordered, say, last week or something.
I've got the figure here in the box on my desk, but I'm still really pissed off about what happened. I don't even really want the thing anymore.
The little bag it comes in inside the box is already opened (went poking at it while I was still in the car coming home), but if you want it, it's yours. :3
Go to HMV. Like, nobody preordered there so they've got a ton of figurines down there-- While I was in the lineup there was a chick ahead of me who hadn't preordered and she went down to HMV and just bought a copy and they handed her a figurine, she came back to EB to hang out in the line with her friends afterwards.
My devious plan is to attempt to sculpt a cooler Lugia now ^_____^
