For those who are not yet fluent in WoW-ese, what Alfie is alluding to is that he and his raid defeated Arthas, The Motherfuckin' Lich King, last night in 10-man Icecrown Citadel. I watched it come down to the wire, but they managed it and got the win.

For the record, my foxie was bouncing up and down like a pinball while the RP was ticking merrily away, grinning his little head right off.

We looted him, but he had a Strength-oriented two-handed mace and a crossbow on him, not the [Tainted Twig of Nordrassil] that would've been useful to me.

"Tainted Twig of nordrassil"?

That sounds so very Monty Python somehow.

For reference: Nordrassil was the original World Tree; it and the failed attempts at creating another, Teldrassil and Vordrassil, are all references to Yggdrassil, the World Tree of Norse mythology. Because it was so frickin' huge, its tiniest twigs are massive two-handed maces to the humanoid races of Azeroth.

But yeah, "tainted twig" sounds just this side of dirtinnuendo worthy of a Python.
