He should be up way high up on the stairway with there being a huge gap between it and the next part of the stairs (obviously damaged) with a sign saying "Stairs Broken Use Elevator" Off in the distance is the elevator stretching just as far down and up also too far out of the way for reaching without going back all the way down. (Possibly have the stairs and elevator lead down to a globe version of earth to show how much more work he has.)
