I love writers too much, and credit these particular writers with so much of my inspiration and development as a visual artist not to pay them some respects :) Classic fiction writers really get me too. Hemingway, Steinbeck, Melville, Fitzgerald.. So good. I think that ability of good writing to put you really deep into a place, or change the syncopation of imagery that I enjoy(draw from) the most. That, and narrative. :)

Hehe, this is another list that makes a lot of sense, considering the source. It's been fun to see the extent to which a lot of us wear our influences on our sleeves. And I totally agree about poetry being wonderful visual inspiration -- I recently reread Whitman's Song of Myself, and it got me into a totally painty mood.
