I can sometimes guess :). I think a lot of people watch, then fav a few things, then unwatch and unfav as soon as they see the freaky bugs bunny porn.

Unwatches and unfavs dont really bother me all that much. I figure its just preference and people's tastes change. What bothers me are blockings. Being blocked for absolutely no reason or you are unaware of the reason. :/

I was blocked because I told some old fart that his lesbian tit-licking photograph was porn by DA standards

He not only blocked me but posted a call-out journal bitching about it.

He was forced to delete all his call-out journals because a teenager LoLed at him in the DA forums and his profile got a few people LOLing at him


A few people on DA block people because they ship a different pairing than they do

I personally dislike DA and I have my reasons. I dont usually get that treatment on FA. FA feels more like a family than a "who's the best" community

Same thing happens at the other end too. Things that someone faved just suddenly turn into a blank box if the artist takes em down.

another thing that happens to me a lot is journals in my inbox will be deleted by the poster, and a lot of times ones i have faved will be removed O_o
but i'm more interested as to why people un-watch and un-fave :P

Technically, you could know who has unwatched you or unfavorited some of your work; however, that would require you to be more proactive (keeping lists and such). I’m kind of surprised I’ve never heard of a script or program that actually does this.

Regardless, I have yet to unfavorite any artwork, but I have unwatched a few people. This typically only happens if they have not posted anything in over 8 months, in which case I assume they just don’t visit FA any more.

But sir- surely an un-fave would be a mere slip of the finger, or impatient double-click on the fave button whilst the browser refreshes or some shit that sounds like I know what I'm talking about?!

A few people stopped watching me simply because i was inactive for a little too long...couple of months i think...i thought that was uncalled for.

come to think of it why does FA let us know that a random person deleted their submission or journal or fave?

i think its a good thing... alot of artists, i dont think, would really care

Then you would have a few who would take every single one personally and go on a flame war agaisnt someone just because they dont like the reasoning behind it... gods know there is enough drama around here as it is without people constantly sniping at each other over whos faving and watching and what ever who...

If the system has TOLD you it was unfaved, via your inbox, then it was something they faved in the last few minutes, realized they didn't want to fav it/clicked that on accident, and they unfaved it in that timespan.

If it's something you notice off to the side of your profile at the top of your page, I got no explanation for that :<

I've noticed some people are minimalists when it comes to their favs and watches, they'll only watch/fav up to a certain tiny number then rotate people out. Its a really bizarre thing but i've seen it more often than you'd imagine. i attribute it to some form of OCD XD

And yeah i dont get why it has to leave a little square where a submission used to be, or a journal that was removed, that seems like a waste of space, then i have to go and manually delete it. Looks like very sloppy programming IMO.

All my faves need to be in chronological order. o.o If I mess up I unfave and refave to fix it.
I'm only slightly OCD =P

i dislike it when someone deletes a submission and FA keeps the "submission deleted" thing in your favorites gallery.
