Seeyah Microsoft. Hello Macintosh.

So, today I got the last piece of equiptment I'll be needing for a while for my DJing.
A Macbook Pro.
And ohmygawd.
Everything just runs so smoothly.
I'm finally happy in life.

But ya, pretty much this.
Mac's aren't THAT awesome and they CAN get infected just as badly as Windows... just that they're not popular enough for it to be profitable by professional hackers. In fact, since most Mac users don't run any type of antivirus, they can be taken down in a matter of moments if someone truly wanted to.
The only reason I bought a Macbook Pro is for something to use at gigs and I needed something that was not going to freeze a song while mixing or anything like that.
And everyone told me t go with a Mac, even the DJs I know. Teachers. And generally everyone.
If I wanted soemthing for gaming, something for any other use, I wouldn't have gone Mac~
I've seen it, an average laptop around the 1,5k price will perform shit with my mixing programs and my midi equiptment.
I dont need it to just play music. I need to to be able to do everything straight away, when I press a button on my midi controller, I expect it to do it straight away without lag.
And no, a lot of it had to do with the operating system.
I looked into it for like four months.
kthx.
A lot of Vista's flack came from the Apple commercials, OEM bloatware, people thinking that they can use 6 year old hardware with a new OS, and ignorant PC users thinking you can mess with system settings and think you'll never fuck something up.
Sounds like you just had a crappy laptop but don't blame it on the OS unless you're using XP with new hardware that XP can't handle.
It does the job. It looks pretty while doing a gig.
and it only cost me $79
I didn't know you did gigs :D You should put on a show at the MiDfur ball :D
\o/
I'm also might be doing a gig at FurCoNZ this year too. 8U
