So after approximately 5 months of unemployment I have picked up another animation gig!
The industry was really shit for a while there, but it seems to be picking up now. Lucky for me!

I showed up for what I thought was an interview, and instead they introduced me around, plopped me in front of a workstation, gave me login info, and gave me some scenes to animate! One of the supervisors told me they saw my reel, and they all thought I was awesome and decided to hire me right then. Plus, I apparently came recommended by a few people who already work there or have in the past.

Feels good man!

I can't talk about the project yet(for you curious types), but the SECOND I get info on the premiere episode of the show, I will make a huge awesome journal all about it! All I can say is it looks awesome, and it's going to be huge.... and on a major TV network.

In less happy news, my landlords(who like me and my fiancé) are kicking us out in 2 months so their family can stay over. I was pretty panicky about it when I didn't even have a job, since moving is EXPENSIVE...... but now that I have a job it's dulled to a tingly sort of raw worry. Finding an apartment in this city is rough, especially for a young slightly alternative goth/metal looking couple with 3 cats. So, we'll just see how that goes.

But, man, do I ever NOT want to move in with my in-laws in the suburbs. :P
