Summer Contest - EXTENDED TO SEP 1st!

NEWS: Ugh! I didn't realise I didn't inform you guys! Contest extended to September due to issues of my own. ALSO. My mate and I are completely broke. I've re-opened comissions, it'd be great if someone could comiss me...

That's right - it's contest time again! And this one, I promise you, won't be so unbearably long and stretched out as the previous, though it will be long enough for, a, me to catch up on my work, and B, everyone to plan and enter ideas.
There will be 2 options this time.
++++Option 1 - When I grow up...++++
All of my characters but Sayro have youth in them yet, most in an adolescent or young adult stage, and a couple children. Use your creativity - I'd like to see how you picture my character years and years older, whether in teen years (child characters), late adulthood (late teen/adults), or as wise old elders. (All) And don't just leave it at that - create a scenario. Now that they're older, what are they doing? Traveling the world, saving lives, passing on their stories to future generations? Use detail, use image, <i>use your mind!</i>

++++Option 2 - An Alternate Reality++++
Legend has it that eevery person has a perfect opposite somewhere, whether it be an alternate reality or right under your nose. But for you guys, I'd like you to think "alternate reality." Every character of mine can be used for this - I'll be updating the characters section in a moment for you to look through. The idea is, draw the character's -perfect opposite-, from appearance to personality. If you'd like, you can draw the original character meeting their opposite, whether through some portal or strange coincidence, or in an abstract manner, or whatever you can come up with. Be creative, let's see those gears turnin'!
All characters may be used for this option.

++++Rules and Guidelines++++
1. No completely backgroundless pieces. Simple backgrounds are okay, plain white is not.
2. No black and white or lineart. I'm not a fan of plain black and white, and lineart is too incomplete. Please take the time and effort to colour your piece! If you really MUST do black and white and can't do anything else, note me and show me some of your previous black and white art. I'll decide.
3. No messy colouring. I don't want to see scribbling, paintbucketed plain nothingness, or colouring that took no more than 3 minutes to do. Take the time to make it nice.
4. No pictures out of the themes. There is not the option to have your character meet my character in a plain picture this time. Follow the themes.
5. You may use your own characters in the picture. As long as it follows the theme, I have no problem with your characters being part of the action.
6. No photomanipulations. As much as I like photomanipulations, they don't work here. Sorry.
7. You may use any program you like. Yes, even MS paint. BUT, if it's quickly and messily done in MS paint and not carefully shaded/pixelated/whatnot, it won't get you anything. but I've seen nice art done in paint before, so I won't exclude it.
8. You may enter as many as you'd like. There are no entry limits. Go crazy!
9. Trade images may not be used. If you're already in an art trade with me, you CAN enter, but CAN'T count that as your half of the trade.
10. Don't bother waiting for trades to open instead. I won't be opening them to requests again. Just an FYI. nx I'm not being mean, I've just done my share of them.
11. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A MEMBER OF DA or FA. If you'd like to enter, but you're coming accross this as a lurker, not a member, you can email me a link to your entry! Email is above: just remember to change all the NOSPAMs to the correct symbols.

Send the link to your image in a note with the subject of "Contest" or "Contest entry". If you are going to be late for the deadline, show me a work in progress to show you're working on it.
Don't forget to state which section you're entering when you note me.

Again, if you cannot meet the deadline, get a sketch in by that date and you'll have till September 1st to complete the full image.
