National Day of Silence

Apparently, I found out today is the National Day of Silence (Thank you What The Buck Show on YouTube). Apparently, students around the United States take a vow of silence to bring attention to anti-LGBT (Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transexual) name-calling, bullying, and harassment that goes on in schools. I find this very interesting, and I wish I had known about it when I was in school. Back then I was just a closet gay (and a closet furry), afraid to show myself for who I really was out of fear of being tortured over it. Now, I wish at times I could go back in time to when I was in high school. Maybe if I was myself, I wouldn't have quit high school and wouldn't have had to worry about my GED stuff. Oh well. Anyway, I just found this interesting. If you want to know more, check out:

Hm. I know. I never heard about it back at my school, either.

Interesting... never heard of this before you brought it to my attention with my journal. Of course, never realized I was bi/pan until well after high school... more or less a couple years ago. But am sorry you had to quit school because of your issues.
