Terrae story update: 19 April 2010

What are all you whipper snappers doing here...?
Fixed a bunch of errors caused by using MS Word master documents. I'm moving to a model using Acrobat Pro "Convert Supported Content to PDF" and converting and combining them that way.
Done:
Fixed "typesetting" issues.
Renamed Chigo section to "Wellstone Abbey"
Need to do:
Edit the Enandoplas chapters for content. The section is more than 150 pages long and very little actually happens. I can probably trim 25 percent out and be fine. Don't be surprised if it suddenly goes from 150 pages to 120 or even 100. The "angry red pen" will be out...
Create title page and section headers in InDesign to replace buggy and ugly MS Word ones.
Remove all underlines and replace with italics. Originally done to help with possible submission to a publisher. Now I'm planning on setting up POD or something similar if fans want a paper copy.
Finish more chapters, further refine the Appendix, make a loose outline for what happens next.
Behind the scenes:
Revise or write new character summaries for all major characters.
Unify and revise setting notes.
Figure out what to name more of the gods and goddesses. I have a theme, but I'd also like the break from it, too.
Figure out how the fuck Brian got there in the first place. I have an idea involving being to close to a malfunctioning prototype particle accelerator weapon, but that idea is a handwavium, Philadelphia Experiment kind of deus ex machina. I really don't like it since if high-energy particle collisions could do that kind of thing we'd be losing astronauts and high-altitude flights left and right. Another idea might involve "weirds science" research at the Speed School of Engineering at the University of Louisville. (Basically I want to avoid outright magic...)
Further work on the Terrae RPG, which can help with developing the setting.
Re-organize the folder hierarchy inside of Documents. It's grown out of control and makes no sense. I'm constantly going all over to update stuff and some folders contain more than just what their label says. I'm anal retentive, but organization is key to efficiently doing things.
