Blargh, saw Frenor did this and I have wanted to do this for a while :3
Kenji is based on me to a large extent in terms of personality..just with a more colorful backstory...

Brief History:
Kenji was born into a wealthy prestigious family in Germany wherein he was groomed to be his father's successor, when he hit his teen years he got very rebellious and started abusing drugs and alcohol quite a lot as well as sleeping with every random girl he could get his hands on, basically wasting himself away because it didn't really matter, his future was 100% guaranteed and his parents just didnt give a shit.
One night he met a tourist girl and he fell hard for her, primarily since she was the only girl who ever stood up to him and said no and didn't immediately go away, she changed his life in the week they spent together, getting him to quit with the drugs, drinking and being a massive slut (He's still sexually liberal, just picky). He promised he'd come to America and visit her after this and so started to scheme.
His parents however, did not approve of this, he had a mate already selected for him, a girl from a wealthy noble family who was "fit" for him, which is a nice way to say she was a vain bitch. Kenji did not approve of this and so he started to set money aside in a secret account for a month or two until he had amassed quite a lot (He was given a considerable amount of money by his parents after all) and when he turned 17 he left Germany and came to America, still holding on to her address and his memories of her.
And what a shock it was when he got to America and found she had found another man, and was mated to him, he was now in America, with nowhere to go and nowone to be with when he walked into the Quick Stop to buy something to eat and ended up spilling his situation to the friendly shopkeeper
And as luck would have it, there was a chance, the friendly shopkeeper was retiring soon and had no son to leave it to, So he "adopted" Kenji and taught him how to run things efficiently as well as gave him the upstairs to use as his place until he could afford someplace else, after a few months, Kenji held the deed to the store as well as a crash course in Business 101, and after a few years running the joint, Kenji expanded and bought the apartment building next door, moving himself into the penthouse post-haste...
