Firefox extension: FuraffinityButton IV !!!
I upgraded the furaffinityButton browser extension another time!
you find it here :)
There's a lot of new stuff in this one, so please (as always) tell me if there are any issues with it. I might want to fix them :)
New in version 4:
1. Ever got bored with the two available styles for Furaffinity (default/blue and black)? Wanted to make your own? Now you can. FuraffinityButton now allows you to edit a custom style sheet! (in the right click menu of the button)
2. This custom Stylesheet will override and add to the default styles (blue or black depending on your account settings) every time you visit a furaffinity page. This is done by automagically adding an extra stylesheet reference in the page header, after the default one :)
3. You can enable and disable the custom style feature easily (radiobox selector in the right click menu) There's no need to delete the custom stylesheet if you just want to go back to how it used to look. (But you will need to refresh the current page)
4. FuraffinityButton comes with a pre-created override stylesheet (all you need to do is enable it). I call it "matrix green". Feel free to try it out, or alter as you please.
5. The furaffinityButton checks for the page load status, to insert the extra style as early as possible, so the old colors won't appear during page load. (I'm quite proud of that hack, though I'm sure you wouldn't notice this feature unless it wasn't there :)
6. Though I did quite a number of internal changes, the original features, most notably the auto-previewing of thumbnails that you all love so much do still work!
If you update from a previous version of FuraffinityButton, you need to restart the browser after upgrading. No two different versions can be installed at the same time!

Custombuttons is a firefox extension, which allows it to write and test tiny applets (mini-extensions so to speak) for firefox yourself. they come in form of buttons, that you can add to your toolbars.
Once you have custombuttons installed, you can click on such a "button" (which is basically a link with a weird URL that will only be understood if you have the custombuttons extension)
FuraffinityButton 4 is such a "button". You can find it in my old journal http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1155289/ the link just says "install" (scroll down to find version 4)
when you don't have the custombuttons extension, it would just complain that "url type custombuttons:// is not known) but if you have that, it then asks you whether you want to install that button.
Say "Yes". It will tell you how to add the button to one of your firefox toolbars. Do that. (I put it right of the "Help" menu entry at the far top on mine)
I hope that clarified the procedure
so will take a bit
I gave it a folder to store stuff in the options, and it created it.
I restarted firefox several times, but it still gives me no option to save images or open folders.
I will contact the creators of said extender to debug the issue.
In the meantime, you could try the greasemonkey script version of my addon, with a bit of luck it might not have that problem.
I just updated to that still marked "experimental" version too (0.4.0.7)
Everything seems to work, with and without FuraffinityButton enabled at the same time, except the "open folder" feature, which gives my an firefox internal error message, regardless of other installed extensions. I'm in contact with
Just to make sure we have the same experience, which exact version of Firefox are you using?
