Lazy though. Here's a snippet.
“Nationalism is an infantile disease.” –Albert Einstein
I value this quote very highly due to both its surprisingly accurate metaphorical meaning, and the fact that its meaning has somewhat fermented since its birth. By its most popular definition, a disease describes a condition of a bodily organ that impairs its ability to function. Nationalism is the complete dedication of oneself to the state or country of which he or she belongs. The comparison is accurate because in the application of nationalistic attitudes, in a way, takes one’s eyes off of the meaning of life. It becomes a disease when one is in the infantile stage, before the decision of life’s meaning can be made singularly. Furthermore, it causes one to create enemies on the basis of something completely impersonal, and in that way, is a method of control. This method, combined with fear, is what politicians have been using to forge wars for centuries.

Democracy and dictatorship alike, I'm afraid. When did he state this? The political environment of the World War 2 era seems like a likely timeframe. It is when the world saw the damaging effects of how blissfully ignorant people became under the control of the nationalist mindset. I don't know what your motives were with this journal, it seems like you were either urging the help of others, or asking for some kind of critique on your analysis (which is superb, albeit a little rudimentary).

OP
Moreso a critique. It could be better but I left it at that; it's History, not English. I think I already rise above on such things in comparison to most my age. Thanks a lot for the comment, I wasn't expecting there to be any. XP
