Miss me? I sure did. I haven't seen free time in months. I've moved, I've got a job, I've finally finished my thesis, and I've done a slew of other things that turned out to be far more time consuming than originally planned. It's been fun. Am I free now? Absolutely not. But...there's something special that's finally brought me around to sitting down in my studio (which I set up, but have never once used) and pulling out a sheet of paper.

It's May!

And, if you've been watching my account for a year and a month, you know what that means: Every Day in May. So, despite all of the nagging chores and responsibilities that have popped up in my life in the past 6 months, I am dedicating myself to sitting down and drawing something, anything, every day this month.

This year, I'm also inviting people to participate along with me. Every Day in May has in the past helped me to develop my characters, look at composition and scene creation more creatively, and improve my sense of color coordination through sheer practice. Although I was exhausted by the end of May last year, I've found myself looking forward to May this year, and I think anyone who participates will find that they do the same.

So please, give it a try! And if you do, comment to this journal and I will begin to add links to people's accounts who're participating!

P.S. On a side note, I have 7000 messages (including submissions, thankfully) which have gone unseen in my absence. I'll be plugging through them, but it's going to take me a while. I thank you all for your comments, favorites, and watches.
