Well it's not new, per se, it's been around forever, but LOOK! SO COOL! I wish I could own one of these buggers (not that I would ever take such a creature out of its native environment and habitat, but it's fun to lust since I own reptiles and frogs and snakes anyways..)

Just like gold mining is ruining the amazon river. Ode to the greed of humankind. If we all lived longer, people wouldn't be as abusive to the world, since it's the same planet they'd be stuck on for the next two generations instead of having their instant gratification and then dying.
And no mentioning of global warming or anything like that in this journal, lol, just don't!
It is so sad that the activities of humankind are constantly threatening and wiping out other species.
Worldwide there's a huge decline in amphibian populations for multiple reasons. It's really starting to bug me, as I see less and less even in my immediate vicinity. :(
This little guy looks awesome though. :)
