David K. Nelson- We Love You
sometime in the last coupla of days, my cousin David passed away at 47 years of age.
He has a wife and a son, who is currently ten years of age, and just recently published the first of what was intended, i believe, to be a series of books- He had his first book signing sometime last month (i can't find the date) and was scheduled for another one on the 23rd of May-
it is his wife's birthday, as well as his sister's.
My mother says my dad keeps thinking it must be a mistake, and I don't blame him, for what i know of David, and mom-
here.
"Melisa Nelson:
I had no idea that he had been ill. Whenever I talked to him he was always so positive. He had also been very supportive to me during my ordeal. I am so saddened by this - I wish I had some eloquent words to project."
Mom's recently been through a shitstorm of a trying to get her eye surgery- and then she was more or less blind for some time- and she got fairly close to David during that time. (as close as one can get when contact is mostly via internet)
"Ashley Ray:
Evidently he had the swine flu last summer. (no clue if that's related) they are doing an autopsy. He was 47. A few weeks or so ago he had blood in his stool and had bleeding ulcers. David overheard the doctor say he won't make it. But he did and was back at work. Denise (his wife) checked his vitals each night & he was fine.

Then last night he was really really tired after work, Ate dinner then went to bed feeling exhausted. He said he was affraid to go to sleep because he though he would die. Denise checked on him thru the night, and the last tine she did, he was gone. She tried to give him CPR while waiting for the medic, but he was already gone. Today is her birthday. It's a very shocking thing. "
that's.. fucking disconcerting, more than anything, i think. actually said it, he's afraid to sleep because he thinks he's going to die.. and.. he did.
... Anyway, for what it's worth, his book is called "Trucking with Noah" and it's published under his name, David K. Nelson- apparently it's a good read, given that it's a kid's book, and I'd been planning on purchasing it and getting it signed at the family reunion.
wwrrr. if nothing else, it's.. a shaker, i think, just.. in general. I don't know him too well but i feel, strongly, for his wife, kid, and siblings. (and i think his father is still alive, as well)
If you're the praying type- pray for them.
(not him so much, I'm fairly certain that he'll have made it into whatever heaven you may or may not believe in. :3)
