No,no silly I'm talking about being selected for jury T_T, what is that experience like?

I was a second alternate on a drug trial a few years ago. It really wasn't that bad. Your job may allow you to take a few days off to do jury duty without repercussions. And if it does, it's actually kind of cool, because you'll be on government time-- start at 9, done by 4. I actually got to do more stuff around the house while I was on that trial, which lasted 3 days.

If your job doesn't pay for jury duty, just make sure the judge knows that. You likely won't be put on a trail. And honestly, you likely won't be put on a trial anyway. When I got called, I ended up waiting in a room with 100 people. Most got dismissed-- I was just lucky enough to be the last one called, so I ended up on the jury.

Yup! It's based on how far you live from the courthouse-- basically they just pay for gas. But it's still something!

I was selected for jury duty before. It made me kind of annoyed because I didn't want to travel all the way to the courthouse by bus and miss my classes. Of course, most of the time, these things settle out of court so a jury isn't required. Such was the case with mine. :B

Naw, there's a number you can call on the form and they list the group numbers that have or have not been cancelled. I didn't have to go at all.
