Xbox How do i hate thee?

Let me count the ways. so my Xbox 360 broke. Again. For the THIRD TIME! This is my SECOND "Red Ring of Death". They told me they fixed that shit! And now they have the gall to make me buy a box at the UPS store to send it back to them! They should be sending me a box like they did the other times. Though I suppose if they had to buy a box for every Xbox they had to repair, Microsoft would go bankrupt.
The tech person didn't even tell me I had to buy my own box! I was waiting for a week for a box I wasn't gonna get. fucking hell. Remember the days of N64s? Where all you needed to do to fix anything was blow in it? I could brick a house with those things and it would be up to code.

Had mine for a year and a half, and it's only frozen up a few times (fix: a soft reset). It's got something to do with faulty heat sinks X.X

Hmm, when did you buy yours exactly? Was it right after launch? I know that the first batch of Xboxes were really buggy and bad. I got mine the Summer after it came out (almost a year i think) and the only problem ive ever run into was a single red light followed by a cryptic error message. This was always solved by simply restarting it. Ive also had a few freezes related to heat, but that was back when i kept mine under my TV stand where it would get hot easily. Since i moved it it hasnt had a single freeze. (ironic that a buildup of heat would cause something to freeze...)

Replaced? Like how? You mean you got a whole new one or they replaced the motherboard? (do consoles have motherboards?)

i have no idea. they repaired it for a red ring and an E74 error already

Huh, then that would make it about as old as mine then. Maybe you got a bad apple, or one of the buggy early models. *conciliatory buttseks*
