and yes I remember Izzy from Atlanta ( http://en.beijing2008.cn/spirit/sym.....14068227.shtml )
but London`s 2012 mascots look like Izzy and the teletubies had some babies >_<

I think the reason these things are generally not very good is that the people in the position to design these mascots can't draw, and have no artistic sense, so they have a retarded brainstorming session and come up with something awful, which they then hard-sell to everyone else. "They symbolize this! They're funky! They're cool! You'll like them or else!"
It would be so nice to have a macot that actually had some endearing charm. Oh well.
