Just -make sure- that whomever you're working for can get a digital pre-paint colored image so they can make sure the colors are correct before you make it permanent paint.

They do look pretty good. but i honestly think that you could put a little more detail into the color work itself. the pictures would also work a little well if you had the line art lighter and let the color mixing define where the shapes fell and what not.

I'm not going to comment on the art itself (not that it needs comments), It's yours and pretty damn amazing (and far better than anything i can do) But i do know a little something something about coloring.

See here's the thing, saying, "put a little more detail into the color work" is EXTREMELY vague and you could also be asking me to convert to an already established style. As for the line work, again that sounds more like a preference rather than a lack of ability. You are aware that I do the linework last and color first right? I do the linework like i do intentionally. More to give life and movement rather than technical representations.

my bad, being vague is not what i had meant to be.
when i say "Put more detail" into the color i mean Mixing more than light base and shadow, work in a few extra colors to add sheen and work with using black lightly to make your pieces pop more and give them a a little more roundness.

as with the line art statement, that was preference of ability (as pretty much everything i'm saying is). Just something you could experiment with to see if you liked or not, and to try and work into your own style.

I think you have a very good start! photoshop is like any other medium where it takes allot of time to master.

Your coloration is a good preliminary state, its rather roughed in and you get the main basic tones that you want. All digital painters start wit ha process similar to that. the next step is refinement, blending and using the endless brush options to your advantage to create textures and blended forms.

I would also recommend looking into ImagineFX and their book titled "Fantasy Workshop"

I quite like them. :D The coloring style really works nicely, imo. It gets a little rough and scribbly in places, but that could just be a style choice (personally I prefer pieces that way, but super smooth shading seems to also be the popular thing). The only suggestion I'd give is to make the highlights and lowlights pop out more... so poor colorblind people like me can see, and it gives the subject more depth and makes it look more alive to normal sighted folks. :P I personally quite like your paintings. ^_^
