Gnarf. I feel you. Neighbor above me did some noise on the floor AGAIN this week, waking-me up. This can't be blocked by ear plugs. I will have to get a few words with him. :E
Yeah, I can't legally drive because of it. it's REALLY rare i fall asleep (if I'm bored it tends to happen pretty often tough, at work, I fall asleep left and right.)
But yeah, last thing I want is to fall asleep when I'm driving.
For the past two weeks, it's been get home at around 12 am, sit up unable to sleep until 5am or later, sleep for 3 to 6 hours, then go back to work at 2:30, getting home at 12 am once again the next day. I feel rather insane going through this over and over, but what can I do about it?
Yikes that's a rigorous schedule. I hope you get a break in there, me being on call is a crap shoot some nights go by quietly with no calls others it can be and all nighter followed by my usual 8 to 5 shift. I've taken a few meltotin tabs but only when I'm sure I can get a full nights sleep and it's helped me feel rested.
So far, I've shown a complete immunity to all sleep aids. I tried Melatonin; it didn't work. Nor does anything else. At best, it just makes me super hyperactive and twitchy, forcing me to discontinue using the stuff.
This weekend was off for the holiday, so I'm getting that at least. Then it's back to work again. I hope it doesn't get as bad as last time though. That time, it was 3 hours a night for a month and a half before blacking out as soon as I got home from work one day and sleeping 10 hours.

Whats said is I'm a better driver then Wi :P
Better as in I drive real fast, and forget my blinkers, but I always get us there in one piece :P
It's probably a good think I'm not allowed to drive.
Good luck with your own troubles.
