but alas! our relationship brings controversy!

Me: YES! He is 22 and I am a mere 18 (cough >.> ) and alas, many thing that at -my age- I am far to young to be with someone twenty two years old!
so what's your opinion on this? The whole 'age' thing :O

My gey friend is 27 and his husband is 46. Now thats a difference! XD
But they love each other, and it's great man. =3
Age is just a number in my opnion. If both of you are at that of a legal, and mature age (others mature at different age levels, i know) then theres no problem with a slight age diff
the most I would say is around 10, thats when it starts getting a bit iffy

Nah man, idk. If you love him, I mean, it's not that big of a difference. Plus you are technically an adult. YOU WILL KNOW FOR SURE AROUND WHEN YOU TURN 25!! (That's when your brain stops developing. You can still learn, you just don't get to have it develop anymore.)
