[UPDATE: Guess they're trying to cover their tracks. The user in question has had their profile icon replaced again... by the default placeholder that should've been used in the first place. Talk about covering your tracks and making it seem like we're drama'ing over nothing. Once again, their actions are designed to place themselves in the best possible light.]
Something unconscionable has just happened. A dear friend of mine has been attacked, and my wolfie has posted a journal about the act. I will now repost here what he has said.
There is a time and a place, someone once said, to keep your mouth shut.
Now is not that time. Come hell or damnation, everyone on my watchlist will know this was done.
A dear friend of mine, Alex Reynard, has had his FurAffinity account hacked and banned. He has done no wrong, has stayed within the AUP, and has, aside from some heated journals, never attacked anyone.
Not only can he NOT log in and do anything about this, but now his art and journals and everything uniquely "him" on this website is at risk of either being deleted or changed to reflect whoever did this and their intentions.
The final straw is that his icon has been changed to "I <3 FA ADMINS".
Enough is fucking enough. When an admin goes right on into your profile and takes what they like, it's time to stand up and say enough.
Spread the Word. ALL of You.
Let your friends know to save their info and to be wary of any admin from this site.
I hate to say it, but I knew that this day would come, when the admins would do as they like and there is little that we can do about it.

Avatars must be work safe. They may not contain blood/gore/fluids, rapidly flashing colors or images (e.g. "seizure inducing"), outlines/indentations of genitalia or nipples. Avatars containing animated breasts or posteriors are permitted, so long as the animation is subtle and remains tasteful.
Avatars using the work of another artist without their permission will be removed.
There is nothing in there about commentary on the FurAffinity administration.

No, quite the opposite. And THIS: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3974550 ...is a little bit too "dance monkey dance" for my taste. Doesn't give me confidence in the FA admins respecting any standard of fairness, if you ask me.
More than 50% of the FA population are generally satisfied with the FA website. As a result, a non-qualified attack on FA admins, such as "Fuck FA Admins" in an avatar, will make people negatively disposed towards the person with the avatar.
However, if you just go in and change such things, then you appear unwilling to accept anything that defames you. This is widely seen as a very negative trait, and can generate bad press very quickly.
So you've actually lost more by doing this than not.
yes, it was a kinda dumb move to replace it with another icon assuming that the I<3FAADMINS isn't going to be used as the stock icon used in cases such as these, but in the end Alex DID fuck up and he SHOULD be held accountable.
still, in the end, having kept my eye on him for a while now, he HAS gotten away with many violations in the past and to be fair, it was only a matter of time before he came under the admin's scrutiny. and really, as much as i'm indifferent to the mods (some are cool, some i think don't deserve the position they hold) they are still the admins and if someone doesn't like it, well, tough shit. deal with it.
