Quick, Cheap: Use FFMPEG or other software to convert the AVI to a FLV container, use Flowplayer to play the container (assuming the result is not being uploaded to FurAffinity).
Easy: http://www.youconvertit.com/ConvertFiles.aspx (I regard the lack of privacy provided by doing the task locally to be a cost deterrent, and the time it may take for that site to convert is unknown.)
I can't think of any programs with small birds as their mascots to fulfil the "cheep" aspect of this, but there are many Windows graphical front-ends for FFMpeg here: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/ffmpeg
I think that makes it free and easy, right?
