I'm Home

Don't panic! I'm Hispanic. I can habla the blabla. ;)
And I'm so relieved to be back. I've been in Alaska for the best 12 days and it was fantastic. I felt so much peace there; the wildlife and overall atmosphere was really tranquil. But nevertheless, I'm back in good old Sothern California, and I can already say I never missed the traffic one bit. The 405 northbound was shut down right until we got there, and everyone decided to go on it at the same time! :D
Anyway, one of my goals when I went to Alaska was to see at least one wolf. In Denali national park, out of the 59 wolves in 6.2 million acres, I saw one for half a second. Not too much time to take in the moment, but it was worth it. I saw it while I was on a bus and it ran across the road really quickly. Everyone was arguing about whether it was a wolf or a lynx, but it looked too tall for a lynx in my opinion. Other than seeing that wolf, I think I bought about 10 lbs. worth in wolf-related memorabilia and such. I was quite the happy camper when it came to that stuff. =]
And then I got home...and found out that Paul Gray, the bassist of one of my favorite bands, Slipknot, died two days before I graduated (four days before I left for Alaska) and I never knew about it...and now I'm feeling quite depressed. I may have never met him but I've seen what an awesome guy he was, and I will definitely miss him.

only 59 wolves in that vast of an area? sucks you didn't see a wolf, but at least you got to have an adventure in winter wonderland. and is slipknot the people who wear the masks?

OP
I did see one...maybe, but I'm pretty sure of it. :3 Yes, Slipknot is the band with the masks. They look really hardcore on the outside but are real softies, and it was shown when their bassist died.
