BUT THAT'S THE POINT! The original series itself was silly, so that's why they're parodying it, that's what parody is all about, poking fun at existing foibles through exaggerated versions to call into stark relief those failings.

The original Dragonball Z series was not silly. granted, it had comedic moments, its sole purpose was not to make you laugh. This parody is just idiocy breathed into a crappy mic where bad punchlines and horrible voice acting ensue, where jokes that make immature 8 year olds laugh at them.

And that was Neko being harsh. :3 Enjoy.

Afraid I have to disagree... DBZ had some decidedly silly moments, it may not have been intended to get laughs, but with the benefit of hindsight, it does...

Well granted, it wasn't a non-fiction show. IT was an anime, ofc you're gonna get ridiculous settings. I mean really! X( BUt the overall premise wasn't saying "Ahyuck lookit us! We just made a poopie joke!"

Perhaps not... But that's why parody works, there's no point taking the piss out of something that's allready taking/taken the piss out of itself.

'taking the piss out' are you using that correctly? And I know parody as a subject works, but this particular parody, to me personally, was just immature and dumb. As opposed, there are such parodies even of DBZ that are quite humorous. It's just that I find this one lacking any kind of mature, intelligent humor... just retard-strength humor. hurrdurr.

And to the best of my knowledge I used the australian incarnation of that expression correctly... other countries might have different versions I guess...
