tenSOOOOOOO my friend made a remark about my style, and mind you, she didn't mean to offend at all and she claims that it's just her, she does this with everyone's art, but she commented that all My characters/any canid looking character I draw, looks like Ten. Regardless. At first I was a -bit- angry and just thinking "well screw you :<" but I can't stay angry at her, I love her to death. But then I looked at my works.
It's totally true... All my dogs look like Ten. It's like, I'm stuck in drawwing one way, so un-unique. I feel trapped almost. Even foxes, like that nally pic. He totally looks like Ten, just in fox format... god... -le sigh- emo 2.0

Uh... I don't think so. I think they all look like the same person drew them is all. /shrugs/
I suffer from the same problem really. It's really difficult to break from the habit of following similar guides and penstrokes.
Differing the shapes of noses, types of eyes, placement of ears and stuff like that helps a little bit... even sometimes using a different skull shape and body proportions.
Maybe do up a few pages of study work on different species with the direct intention of making them look very different from one another or something?
I might actually do that today too now that I'm thinking about it.
