Might be gossiping a bit in this journal, but its all positive gossip.
you know... I really wish I had a way to get myself known in the fandom.. I know I keep complaining about this, but look on the bright side.. I was doing the same about art until mocha drew me. So that's one down, one to go.
Speaking of mocha.. She's a good example of a well-like artist. Tons of people toss art her way 'cause they like her! And she draws for alot of people in turn, commission or otherwise.
But then there's users like duncan or drayk who are not popular because of their artistic habits, but are still highly popular as well. Hell, they're so popular I'm already gossiping about them. It seems that people are just drawn to their personas like a moth to a flame, their personality being another factor as well.
....I want that kind of popularity. *chuckles* but I'm still trying to figure that one out for myself..

My fursona isn't really that different mentally from my real self, just a different body. All my odd thoughts and the personality behind them are still mine.
what are you doing that the people are loving that I'm not, I wonder?
I just wanted to be myself, be allowed to be myself, and to make a few folks smile in the process.
Oh... and boobs!
Actually, that's something I'll always wonder about: if the gender identity that folks use makes them more or less popular. I would hope that its far more based on a combinations of personality, entertainment, depth, creativity, approchability, and attitude... but the world doesn't always work the way my head thinks it ought to.
Really, I think your art is great, and I kinda think you should keep working on it and drawing more, but that's just my opinion. <.<
But really, all you need to do is be more open and out there, meet more people, make more friends. I can always help if you need me too. ^^
and yes, I need to draw more. perhaps thats holding me back from doing the former. I don't update enough.. :P
Just be yourself, and from what I gather from the nice comments you let me, and reading the comments here, thats a great person to be! Of course....you'll also need a gimmick. Never spoke to Duncan before, but I notice he's willdly popular as well. Then again, you don't see a giant green Roo everyday, and I'm sure that plays a great factor. o.o
Give it time, and make friends within the fandom with artist and writers. Just make sure when you do make friends, you making friends to truly be friendly. Not just to be known. But I doubt you'd do that. ;)
I'm sure there are alot of factors, but I would say you're right about a thing or two here.. n.n
